Staff wellbeing training for schools
School staff manage a great deal at once. A teacher can be holding a class together while noticing that one child is not okay, and that worry often stays with them long after the bell.
If you lead a school or look after staff wellbeing, I run practical sessions that help staff understand their stress response and give them a tool they can use in the moment.
Calm adults help children settle
Children borrow calm from the adults around them. A member of staff who is regulated is better able to stay steady with a child who is struggling and help them come back down. When staff are stretched thin, that gets harder for everyone in the room.
That makes staff wellbeing part of how a school supports its pupils. I teach regulation as something staff can practise every day, for their own sake and for the children they work with. My guide to nervous system regulation explains the thinking behind this.
What a session covers
I explain what happens in the brain and body under stress, using plain language and examples that make sense in a school day. Then I teach EFT tapping, a simple technique of tapping on points on the face and upper body while naming what you feel. Everyone practises with me, so staff leave having already tried it.
No one has to share anything personal. You can tap along while privately thinking of a difficult moment from work. It helps if someone is happy to offer a general example for the group, but this is always optional.
If your staff like to see the evidence first, I've written about what the research says.
INSET days and twilight sessions
The 90-minute taster fits well into an INSET day or an after-school twilight session, and I can run something shorter if your timetable needs it. A half-day gives more time to practise.
- Taster, 90 minutes: from £450 (up to 100 people online or 40 in person)
- Half-day: from £850 (up to 30 people)
- Full-day: from £1,500 (up to 30 people)
- Bespoke: on request
For larger staff groups, I can bring a co-facilitator. See full workshop details.
About me
I'm Susana Carr, founder of MyTappyPlace. I'm a registered social worker with over fifteen years in social care and a Level 2 EFT practitioner. Since qualifying, I have worked with children with disabilities and in child protection.
My own route into EFT was personal. After a frightening experience in my family in 2024, tapping helped me steady myself, and that is why I teach it.
I have delivered workshops for Cafcass and the National Association of Supported Accommodation Providers, and I'd be glad to bring the same practical approach to your staff.
Talk to me about your school
Get in touch to talk about a session for your staff. I'm offering a founding-partner rate to the first organisations I work with, in return for feedback and a short case study.
If you'd like to try tapping first, the free three-minute session needs no sign-up.
